Beaches & Hikes
Shell Beach
Located just a few minutes walk from Gustavia, so it’s super accessible. fyi Sadly Shellona is closed for the season
Saline & Gouverneur Beach
Quiet, natural, peaceful escapes!
Take a drive to either of these beaches (parking first come first serve) for a peaceful beach day. Noting, no hotels or clubs on these beaches so bring your own towel
Hiking Colombier Beach
Craving a hike and a dip? Take a 30 minute (inclined walk) to this beach!
A more secluded and natural beach — only reachable by foot-path or boat
Thru Flamands Bay Route (Recommended for First-Timers)
The Flamands Bay trail takes 30-40 minutes walking. The path follows the coastline with continuous ocean views. The difficulty level is moderate with some uphill sections.
Don't say we didn't warn you about the walk back!
Flamands Beach
Gorgeous beach nestled in a wide cove, home to the Cheval Blanc. Enjoy dining at their beachside restaurant!
Sun beds are available on a first‑come, first‑served basis through the concierge.
Pointe Milou Hike
The trail starts at the entrance to the Christopher Hotel and follows the coastline past several scenic overlooks
This easy-to-moderate hike takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour along the rugged coastline of Pointe Milou. . Hikers should wear sturdy footwear since the trail can be rocky and steep in places, requiring some scrambling over larger rocks.
Grand Fond & Natural Ponds
Start from the Grand Fond parking area. Follow the coastal path running along the shoreline. The hike takes approximately 15 minutes to reach the natural pool. Moderate to easy path very rocky though!
Beach Clubs
No trip to Saint Barths is complete without experiencing its lively beach clubs, especially along St. Jean Beach. Here are our top picks—be sure to book your lunch in advance!
On the island, lunch seatings typically start at 12 PM and 2 PM
Gustavia
No visit is complete without a visit to Gustavia! Drive down in the morning or late afternoon, and you'll find the charming streets of Gustavia lined with the best shopping on the island. Stroll around the harbor, eat a crepe, then take a dip in Shell Beach (Lex's favorite!)
Transportation & Getting Around
We will provide transportation from Hotel Christopher for all hosted events throughout the weekend!
There is no Uber or public transportation system on the island. If you would like to rent a car for daytime exploring and beach hopping, you can arrange it through your hotel or check out Hertz or Avis. Your hotel can also assist with booking taxis.
Some Tips:
Always bring euros for parking/valet.
We recommend small cars (such as Coopers or Mokes), as the roads are narrow and the island is hilly
Hotels will provide round-trip airport transfers.
Please drive responsibly!
Getting There!
One of the most iconic landings, St. Barts' Gustaf III Airport (SBH) has one of the shortest runways in the world. Because of this, only small prop planes can land at St. Barts Airport. You'll need to connect from a larger island—options listed below.
There are no direct flights from U.S. cities to Saint Barthélemy’s airport (SBH) and aren't available on major U.S. commercial carriers. Everyone will need to book separate legs to reach the island.
Please note that Saint Barthélemy is a French territory, and the official currency is the Euro (€). Be sure to anticipate and plan for prices and transactions to reflect this
Via St. Maarten (SXM)
Most travelers connect through Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) in St. Maarten, just a quick 10-minute flight from St. Barths. This is typically the most cost-efficient option.
There are frequent flights into SXM from major cities, with multiple shuttle flights daily to St. Barths.
We recommend allowing at least a 1-hour buffer to clear customs in St. Maarten before connecting.
As of September, all Winair and St Barth Commuter routes are live—these are the two main airlines offering the short prop-plane transfer. Expect to pay €240–400 round-trip per seat, and note that you’ll need to book separate tickets for this connection.
Airport hours: SBH (St. Barths) operates from 8 AM to 6 PM, with landings only permitted during daylight. The exact timing of the last flight depends on the season.
✈️ Tip: If you miss the last flight, you can always take the ferry after sundown!
